RFBE Consulting Managing Director Andrew Christopher participates in the annual Business Excellence (BEF) Australia Evaluators Conference in Sydney, Australia.
The Australian Business Excellence Framework (ABEF) is an integrated leadership and management system that describes the elements essential to organisations sustaining high levels of performance. It can be used to assess and improve any aspect of an organisation, including leadership, strategy and planning, people, information and knowledge, safety, service delivery, product quality and bottom-line results. The ABEF provides organisations with assurance of their sustainable performance and is Australia’s preferred framework for leadership and governance.
As with other national Business Excellence Frameworks such as Baldridge in the USA, the Business Excellence Framework (BEF) Australia Awards, are supported by a panel of approximately 50 national evaluators drawn from across Australia. This panel of evaluators meets each year around May at an Annual SAI Global Evaluators Training Conference to update knowledge of better practices, evaluation techniques and network. This year’s annual conference takes place on 24 and 25 May in Sydney.
At the conference, evaluators are assigned to Teams to undertake evaluations of organisations that have adopted the Business Excellence Framework Australia as the vehicle to support their journey of business excellence and seek to assess their progress through the Awards process. Andrew Christopher is a long term national evaluator and Team Leader who has taken the opportunity to update his knowledge at these conferences since 2002.
